PATENTS 

I-Tech has patented the use of medetomidine under the name of Selektope as an antifoulant in marine paint. I-Tech also holds combination patents together with other marine biocides on controlled release systems for Selektope in marine antifouling paint, as well as a recent patent application on synthesising the compound. I-Tech AB has adopted a strategy that implies gradual expansion of the patent portfolio to include a broad span of patents with relevance for Selektope use.
